Beth Keim, Owner/ Designer
I opened Lucy and Company in the trendy Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte in 2001. The shop focused on hand painting furniture and walls, as that was my background. My husband, Keith, was my partner and as the business grew, he took over the painting side and I directed my focus towards design, incorporating furnishings and accessories of all kinds. Within a few years, as the business grew, we need a bigger space, so 2006 we moved to the design area of Dilworth in Charlotte. Our current design office is a showroom of bold colors, amazing fabrics and furnishings. What I think makes us stand out is the incorporation of painted finishes. Keith and his artists work with us to incorporate one-of-a-kind wall treatments to compliment the fabrics, rugs and furnishings. Our style is unique and do love the more bold, graphic textures and colors apparent in many of the rooms we have shown on our website. We love to hand paint the patterns we are inspired by in the fabrics on walls and furniture. We love to incorporate custom pieces be it art work or a unique fabric piece or even a custom rug. Every job should be unique. I am joined now by an inspiring and energetic group of women, who’s talents and energy never fail me. We love to feed off each other and with ideas and special talents, with every job being something special.
