Hexi Love . .

Hi All . . .

Great install yesterday !  The David Hick's area rug was the show stopper and color inspiration for this den make-over.  My clients, Kristen and Dave Gilvin, came in with a brown sectional and two club chairs - a lot of tan going on.  All decided color, or lack there of, was the problem.  After taking a look around, the nearby dining room was chocolate brown with a rust red rug.  We need to find a palette to join all the colors yet add a brighter splash.

Kristen loved this blue, as did I, so the process began.

We had a round upholstered ottoman made to replace the large rectangle they had.

Added these amazing Schumacher windows in tans and rust.

Brought the blue back in with some pillows....

and voila . .  a den, thought neutral in wall color . .  the splashes of blues, gold and rust created much needed color drama !

A new tall floor lamp and metallic side stoop.

Take a closer look at the new lighting for the bookcase case.  It brightens up the units by flooding light up and the texture adds dimension and interest.  We used a navy grass cloth as a backer in the bookcase to make the unit, the lighting and accessories pop!

These ikat pillows were the tie together, and a must !

The room has come a long way !

Take a look at the color-way I want to carry into the future sitting room and dining room !

This was a fun day and I look forward to moving this new found color into the other rooms creating a welcoming and cohesive look from front to back !
