Hi Everyone . . .
It's New Year's Day and for many of us the time off is coming to an end, it's a bummer I know. I have really enjoyed the down time. Gave me some time to be with the kids, be around the house, go to movies, cook, read and generally do all the things I don't have time for all year. It's a time to update my "wall" in my home office. What is that you say? It's a huge push pin board - basically a whole wall. I pin up new client projects, new ideas, things I love. New Year, fresh things, fresh ideas.
I noticed, while taking down my inspiration pictures (which of course then go into the completely obnoxious books I have . . . all color coded of course . . old school now that I save everything on the computer, but I refuse to stop the books) . . . sorry. I have noticed my love for teal is abundant. I still love it. I especially love the teal / red combination.
Thought I would share a few images before they hit the books, then stay tuned for what hits the wall next for 2012 !!!

These fabrics I love, I have found a way to design my own fabric or shop for truly original fabrics designed and created by those artistic types with the time and the most amazing eye. Like this 20-something . . .
Take a look at a few or her originals. I would have been all over this some 10 years ago . . but now I have Kate (my amazing artistic 7 year old), and Keith (full time artist husband) starting my own little cottage industry.
Having time and the eye is key to that little project . . but original it is, as is this 1stdibs chair I found. Stupid expensive, but has inspired me to hit the flea's a little more often and find those pieces with a great shapes and have them recovered. My upholster is thrilled.
I love this . . . I want it as wall paper !
