Hi There . . .
It's was all about the kids this past week, plays at school, report cards, spring break. A lot of our Charlotte clients leaving town this weekend for their spring breaks. We worked on several kids rooms this past week, a little of everything - but let me show you what Lindsey was up to.
One of our favorite clients, Kelley Sink is having a baby. . in 3 weeks. Boy, Girl, don't know. . . but not too long ago we did her daughter's big girl room, and moved her across the hall. She wanted to freshen up the nursery, keeping the furniture, and window treatments for her new brother or sister !
Lindsey took this project and ran with it. Her first move . . . a color scheme that was gender neutral and worked with her existing windows which were a turquoise graphic.
Take a look.
The stripe was a favorite of us all.
It was then mixed with this great rug and a new blue solid with a slight pattern to recover the rocker.
Lindsey then added a new pouf rather than ottoman, recovered her lamp shades, added these great new wood storage bins and repeated the stripe pattern.
Kelley's husband even jumped in and put his mark on the room, by painting and repleting the stripe on an accent wall.
Kelly already had the dresser, crib and side table, Lindsey just filtered in a new lamp, push pin board over the dresser, some new knobs and an art piece or two.
She painted the inside of her cube shelf to blend with the new colors, styled it up and added more custom art over top.
The new look for a new baby, and whether boy or girl, this clean, fresh look will surely create a soothing place for mom and baby !
