Install of the Day!

Hey There !

We had such a successful install on Thursday at Thais Schmitz's home.  With Mekenzie along, I met Bree and Maggie at her home, added a few accessories and called Thais back home to see her big reveal. What once was an empty room, with the exception of a beautiful Van Guard sideboard and kitchen dining table,  is now complete with all the furnishings and accessories to pull it all together. A large great room with two story ceilings and a rock fireplace, Thais wanted a subtle tone on tone look with a big splash of color in a few of her accessories.  Mission accomplished and the reveal was exciting for all.

Take a look at the fully completed space.

A new, custom 10 x 10 foot grey sectional rests on a large seagrass rug to anchor that "zone."   We added a sleek, custom console table Chris Havey created for me, with two large, silver lamps.  Also adding large lamps on their console, it brings the ceiling down a bit and adds balance.

The great room flows into the casual dining area with a few more tone on tone pieces and a big pop of color in the art (by Keith Keim)

Another splash in the F. Schumacher classic Ming Dragon pattern pillows.

These few pops of color give the space a little brightness and life and compliment the beautiful grey tones.

One of my favorite pieces is the custom kitchen banquet covered in a grey, distress vinyl.  It's large 8 x 10 foot shape give the family plenty of room to slide in and dine in style!  Three new upholstered grey graphic chairs add a little pattern to the mix.

I loved seeing this space come to life !!!  Our next venture, lighting in the front office, the dining room and window treatments for those large, large family room windows!

Thanks Thais,  it was a delight!  Thanks to the team for making this such a quick and drama free install !
