Install of the Day !

Hey There !

It's been so beautiful and warm here in the sunny Carolina's this past week.  If you didn't get out and enjoy it you missed it ! Rain's coming in next week.  I spend the other day on my back porch working outside and soaking up the heat.  It was delightful !

Another little delight was to shoot this project last week with Mekenzie.  Classic home on Colville Road here in Charlotte, I was asked to help tweak some things and that weren't the new owners style and bring it to a look they love.   A simple, clean, somewhat monochromatic, classic feel.  A lot of white on white which I love with pieces that stand the test of time.

The house itself is filled with charm, architectural detail and previously belonged to an older client of mine, so I know the house !  I was thrilled when I got the call to help.

This place grabs you right at the front door with it's Spanish tile and English ivy climbing the sides.  The metal casement windows and stucco all elements combined to create classic beauty.

We started by painting most everything a soft off white.  The previous owner was a huge art collector with pieces covering every inch so if there was one, there was a hundred holes to fill !

This foyer greets you with it's beautiful curved stairwell and classic, graphic Stark runner (a keeper).  It took a few attempts but found the perfect chest as you enter.

A vintage, fringed rug the perfect size.

From the Foyer you have a clear view into the dining room where we did the most work.  The wall paper had faded considerably with the previous owners so we painted over as oppose to removing to keep the texture on the walls but clean it up !

A new live edge and lucite table by Josh Utsey and dining chairs with a pretty brass base.

Wandering back to the kitchen and family room, fresh paint and new white linen curtains all play off the white and neutrals and ...

... one of my favorite walls papers !

This view from the family room to the master bedroom is one of the prettiest with the metal windows and killer sconces.  The arched passage and antique armorer now styled with just a few big white urns for a pretty focal.

The master we transformed to a neutral white on white oasis.  Starting with a new fixture and new bed and bedding.   I then filled in a bench and side tables and lamps.

Styling the bookcases with all white in different shapes and sizes.

All just a clean and tranquil space to rest and look out over one of the prettiest courtyards and pools.
