Install of the Day.. Part 2

 Hey There !

I love "Photo Shoot" Friday's.  Today was particularly fun - beautiful weather, the light was perfect.  This client is just as Type A as myself.  The house is always perfect, exactly like I left.  

We all took a breather after building and installing the entire house, for the most part, a little over a year ago, now it was time to tackle the master bedroom, guest room and finish the upstairs landing.  I was excited to see these entire space come together and be so cohesive. 

With the colors in mind throughout the first floor, I brought some of the same into the master bedroom.  Soothing whites and light taupes with touches of coral.  

Take a look !

A new upholstered bed, side tables and a comfortable sitting area.  

We installed a subtle Phillip Jeffries wallpaper with a white washed wood grain and silver geometric pattern as a backdrop.

Simple white linen drapes and like colors in all the other pieces, with a pop on the pillows.

Love these Kelly Weastler patterns.

I have the same bedside tables,  perfect size and with the faux shagreen applied material, easily maintained.

Opposite the bed, a custom dresser with large lamps.  Shain Gallery and Kristen Blakeney .. large art !

I really love this pillow fabric, just the right amount of color.

Heading upstairs you are greeted by this amazing, large leather chandelier.  It's truly gorgeous.  From the road and lit at night it's quite the showstopper !

A large landing, large enough for a sofa with chaise, big TV and a wet bar.  Perfect lounging space to curl up in but still as "cool" as downstairs !

A little custom paper, custom metal shelf.  A little get-away for some family time.

In this phase 2 we did the guest bedroom as well.. what once was just your typical lack luster room, now a warm, inviting space ! Took a little convincing to paint dark, but I ended up getting my way !  

A lot of unique local finds add character !

Lastly a little peek in the office.  Home of a writer, this space filled with books and a little meeting corner.

Install of the Day !

 Hi All !

Downsizing in a chic and artful way . . that was the goal for a new build I helped with on Providence Road here in Charlotte.  Designed by Bryan Mermans and built by Royal Building Group it boasts really high ceilings and loads of interesting details and high end finishes.  It was a delight to create something unique and one of a kind for one of my favorite clients - Carson Tate !

From the very moment you walk in you can see the detail.  Dramatic arches, custom stair railings and beautiful floor.  My plan was to create a cohesive color palette first off.  Using Ben Moore Decorator white throughout and neutral  furniture fabrics, wall papers and tile but with major texture !  Carson is a huge art lover and collector so we were deliberate in their placement.

A small nook by the entry was the perfect spot to place this Clayton Santiago piece.  Anchored by a leather accent chair and simple 3 legged side table.

I wanted to focus on the amazing ceiling and archways while filling the main living room with unique pieces.  I headed straight to my favorite vendors as well as local artists to create something one of a kind.

A mix of brass, stained wood, raw metal, mohair, nail heads and iron are the name of the game not to mention the gorgeous rug to anchor it all.  (The Rug Company Channels rug by Kelly Wearstler)

Oly and CFC jumped in as well  - all to the trade vendors (and happy to source for you !)

A custom piece by Jacob Wolfe made to fit perfectly in a small nook.

I wanted a big splash of pattern and color leading to the master bedroom and I immediately thought of this one by Phillip Jeffries !  A showstopper for sure.

Clean, bright and unique in every way.

I didn't stop at the pillows . . . one of my favorite small textiles !

In the dining area, just off the living space, Carson really wanted some drama and she got it. 

I started off knowing I wanted a custom dining table... and Josh Utsey created this beauty for us.  Brass base and light wood top.

Accent wall, yes please.

One of my favorite new Romo wallpapers !   Look closely it's not only textured ... it's embroidered !

Art by Jeanne Marchand so beautiful, as is this unique fixture available through us .

This sideboard was a labor of love and the one request by Carson.  Made in segments of metal and all joined together.  Thanks 2dash1 of all the work on this !!

So good.  All of this atop of a Kyle Bunting Rug.  One of my all time favorite vendors !

The kitchen needed to be beautiful as it opens into the dining room and that it is.

With an open floor plan and classic style we decided to combine wood and paint on all the cabinets.  The backsplash and fixtures really set it all off !

Pretty yummy !

Spinning around you have such a pretty view of the entire downstairs !
