Hey There !
For the first time Pantone is blending two colors for the 2016 color of the year. The inspiration - Pantone's executive director Leatrice Eiseman said "In many parts of the world we are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion which in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design. Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and a cooler tranquil blue reflect a soothing sense of order and peace."
Not too long ago I designed and installed a space with touches of the pinks and blues. I love the softness of this room, it's light and airy feel. What makes the two colors work for me, plenty of grounding neutrals.
Maggie also designed a Master Bedroom this year with a good mix of pale pinks and soft blues.
And this living room we worked on has an overall neutral palette with just a touch of the blues.
